Our Vision

The Story of ScanLabs

ScanLabs began with a simple but profound observation during high-stakes professional conferences: the systems driving credentialing, ticketing, and voter-verification were slow, centralized, and complex. Witnessing manual bottlenecks firsthand during key professional events, our founderโ€”a chartered accountant finalistโ€”sought to build an open-source platform that could handle massive concurrency without relying on sluggish proprietary enterprise software.

From those early tests, ScanLabs rapidly scaled into a highly specialized technology suite. Today, we advise and deliver infrastructure for major operations: from coordinating secure check-ins at multi-day corporate conventions to orchestrating real-time ticket scanning systems for stadium-sized music concerts where speed and data integrity are absolute.

Our technology has also expanded into political consulting advisory and public-interest operations, powering specialized Single Transferable Vote (STV) setups, electoral analytics, and voter-slip distribution. Whether it is securing the integrity of a high-profile corporate election or managing the access control for thousands of attendees at a live festival, ScanLabs brings robust, high-availability event logic to the absolute forefront.

Open Source Project

ScanLabs is completely open-source. Developers and event organizers can clone, customize, and deploy their own independent instances of the platform to run events with full data control.
