By accessing or using the ScanLabs platform (the "Service"), owned and operated by ScanLabs, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

ScanLabs provides an open-source event intelligence and logic framework. Our services include check-in automation, QR badge scanning, thermal badge printing solutions, digital voter routing slips, Single Transferable Vote (STV) algorithm tools, and custom dashboard reporting interfaces.

3. User Accounts & Responsibilities

When you register for an account or launch a portal, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information.

💬 4. Mobile Communications & Messaging Terms

By providing your mobile phone number on our contact forms, registration widgets, or portal logins, you agree to receive text messages (including SMS, MMS, RCS, and WhatsApp notifications) from ScanLabs.

  • Opt-In Consent: Consent to receive text alerts is gathered explicitly through opt-in checkboxes on our forms. Providing consent is entirely voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing any services or utilizing our portal.
  • Message Frequency: You will receive notifications regarding inquiries you submit, setup details, transactional login codes, event status updates, or marketing announcements. Message frequency will vary based on your interactions.
  • Carrier Charges & Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile network provider. ScanLabs is not responsible for any costs incurred.
  • Opt-Out Instructions: You can opt-out of mobile communications at any time. To stop receiving SMS or RCS messages, reply with the keyword STOP to any message received. Alternatively, you can send an opt-out request email to contact@scanlabs.in.
  • Help Instructions: For assistance, reply with the keyword HELP to any message received, or contact our support team.
  • Carrier Disclaimer: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of messages is subject to effective transmission from your network provider.

5. Data Privacy & Local Regulations

All attendee and user data collected by ScanLabs is managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 in India. We enforce secure local database storage and guarantee post-conference data deletion when requested by event organizers.

6. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.
